Some Opportunities You Should Take as a Mentor
- Make sure to have all the information you can get on your mentee, including birthday, immediate family members, all forms of contact
- Pray for your mentee daily
- Communicate briefly with them regularly but not too much – include a brief thought from a devotion or just let them know you are praying for them
- Put their picture on their address of your phone so if they call or text your heart can be engaged with them as a person

Verses App
Consider having you and your mentee download the Verses app from the app store and then purchase for each of you the NIV translation (or whichever translation you prefer) through in-app purchases. On the app, there is an “Inside Out Stewardship Journey” collection which contains all of the verses for this course. This way you can literally monitor your mentees progress in memorizing the verses and you too can be held accountable. See more about this app at Verses’ website.
